If you enjoy being around nature, visit El Charco del Ingenio, which are some nice botanical gardens that have a man-made lake and a deep canyon. There is also a garden with different types of cacti. You can hike in the canyon area and around the lake. It's open every day until dusk and the entrance is 2.75$. You have to go by bus to El Gigante shopping centre then take a left and walk for about 15 minutes.
