I spent two weeks last summer in Mazatlan and i can tell you there is no chance in getting bored. Go to AquaSports Center at El Cid Mega Resort, tel: 913-3333. and take this boat that will sail to Deer Island.
i paid for the trip 8 dolars and is scheduled every 2 hours. Once you arrived on the island you can rent a snorkeling equipment for another 8 dolars.
At the AquaSports Center you can also try jet ski- half hour is 54 usd and scuba diving. For certified divers half hour costs about 54 usd and for beginners they teach classes and it is 25 usd per class.
You also must try parasailing- you'll pay 30 dollars. It was amazing i was in the air for about 10 minutes, and i saw all of Mazatlan.
