Zihuatanejo is very close to Ixtapa, so you can just drive there (it's only 7 km) or, if you don't have a car, you can go by bus. The ticket is 0.50$ and you take it from Paseo Zihuatanejo or Morelos. The more expensive version would be to take a taxi, which would be about 5$.
