Well, I wouldn't recommend going bathing or swimming on the east coast of the island because it's rocky and there are strong currents which makes swimming or diving dangerous. So, if you are looking for a safe place you can choose a sheltered bay like Chen Rio or Punta Morena. In this last location, you can also do some surf and enjoy good seafood.
